adventures in thrift-land :D

Yesterday Eva and I visited the thrift store and I feel like we had reallyy good luck. Actually, I think Eva found all of my pieces first and made me try them on, haha. Here’s what I ended up getting and how much they each cost. :]

The sailor suit I plan on turning into a dress. I don’t think I could pull off wearing a jumpsuit on a normal day… ;p

All I have to do to the black dress is pull in the seams a bit to make it fit better (I’m holding it tighter in the photo). I’m in loveee with the lace back. And the plaid dress I’ll shorten to above the knees. I feel like it’ll look good with some obnoxiously colored tights. c;

I have big plans for this bodysuit :]]

Got it for 90 cents at the thrift store! It’s victoria’s secret brand too :o

Had some extra time so I biked instead of drove the 8 miles roundtrip to get neon pink fabric paint.. hard work but I feel good after doing it.

(my room is a bit of a mess please excuse me)

$3.50 boots from the thrift store and they seem to have barely been worn :D (way cheaper than the boots I saw online recently)

I’m a bit embarrassed by the brand but.. they fit so I’ll try not to think about it.

I got lazy and did some simpler alterations.. took in the seams, cut the neck/sleeves/fringe and finished the edges with a serger. not sure if I like fringes.. but I’ve been seeing them around and had to try it. :p will probably be up for sale on etsy in a week or so~

also, thank you mimiako, alphabetemporium and cetty for your suggestions! sorry I didn’t do most of them.. but maybe some time in the future? :]
