Finally got to wear my full costume after weeks of preparation! I was soo very happy to dress up and go out this year. c;

Jacket was altered by me to look like lady gaga’s born this way jacket. I forgot to get a photo of the back, but you can see a webcam picture of it here. I also studded the bra, and in total (jacket plus bra) I probably used over 300 studs, haha…

I realized it’d be safer if I practiced my lady gaga makeup before this weekend since I’m usually pretty terrible with makeup (but this turned out okay I thinkk).

Sorry for posting so many photos of myself lately.. guess it’s just been an outfits and costume week. :D (I am so very very excited to dress up this weekend. and on monday.)

Trying to decide whether I’m going to wear the wig or not. I’m worried it looks too cheap and will ruin the outfit. D:

Does anyone know of any inexpensive, waterproof liquid eyeliner that I can get at a target/walgreens/walmart? My eyes water a lot and I don’t want my makeup to smudge away in the first 10 minutes.. :]

Progress of my lady gaga halloween costume so far. :D It makes me so happy to wear this costume, haha..

Yesterday I put in about 200 studs. I did all of the jacket and finished up the bra. There actually weren’t enough studs for the entire design on the jacket.. I had 50 large and 100 small studs and used them all, and there are still empty spots on some of the letters. Next time I’ll know to overestimate rather than underestimate the amount of studs I need~

I still have to finish up the unicorn on the jacket, as well as try my best to make the wig look presentable. I’m terrible at doing hair in general, and this $10 wig isn’t helping me any. :p

I’m currently studding my bra for my halloween costume. My roommate told me that halloween weekend is this coming weekend, I had no idea it was so soon! D:

I didn’t feel too guilty about studding this bra because I’ve never worn it.. and I’ve had it for at least a year or two, haha.. I guess I like my colored bras too much. Black studs are from a belt I thrifted earlier this year, silver studs are from hobby lobby in the leatherwork section.

Also, thank you to everyone who gave me movie suggestions the other night! I will probably slowly work my way through the recommendations this semester as I work on projects, yay. :]]

I’ve been going to my studio in between classes lately to try and make use of every spare moment I have. Here are a couple projects I’ve been working on..

The top photo is the top of a 1940s dress I’m making. :] The assignment was to find an image of a historical piece of clothing, then go to the thrift store and find something that you could potentially alter to make it look like that historical piece. I started with a huge yellow dress. ;p This is due thursday so I’ll be able to post photos of the finished piece soon ahhh..

The second photo is of the progress on my lady gaga halloween costume. :D I realized I didn’t have time to do a full outfit from one of the music videos so I am doing a born this way jacket-inspired outfit. The jacket isn’t as close to the original as I’d like it to be, but the thrift stores around where I’m currently living aren’t nearly as nice as the ones around my hometown.. :c

Still need to shorten the jacket and add studs (hopefully they come in the mail soonn), as well as style the wig and stud the bra I’m wearing with it.

I think I’ve finally decided on a halloween costume! :o

Originally I really wanted to do the blue jacket outfit from the Judas video.. but my slightly sane side told me that no, I shouldn’t try to sew a full pleather jacket in one month during the school year. And I think I might actually listen to that side.. :c

So I’m thinking about making the born this way jacket and putting together a gaga-esque outfit to go with it, and focus on making sure my hair and makeup are right? I think I am set on doing a more current outfit of hers rather than one from the earlier years..

Also, I want to make sure that whichever one I choose, I can wear it to class on halloween as well. :p Which is why I didn’t go with the red velvet outfit from the Judas video, haha.
