hmm.. now I can’t quite remember the circumstances that led up to me digging up this photo
maybe I’m too excited at the thought of coloring my hair rainbow tomorrow ;p
dress I made for homecoming in 2008, my favorite part was the back :] (photo taken by evaa)
please excuse the un-feminine pose.. I was probably catching my balance. that seems to be the usual reason I have my arms out like that… whooo coordination~ :D

to balance out some of the reblogs/non original posts (I guess there aren’t tooo many of those, but still.. :p), here is a wooden platypus I designed and constructed last yearr

the pieces pull apart and transform into a ray gun

should have gotten photo proof of that, hmmmm

mario question box coasters :D
I made these earlier in the year but never uploaded them.. inspired by these awesome coasters
wanted something a bit more solid so I cut pieces of cork and used black paint marker for the designn

mini project I did for fun near the beginning of the semester, after we soldered for the first time in class

my first self-designed circuit n_n

his cheeks light up and he vibrates when you press his heart

so I’ve been collecting these (from friends) for about a year, but didn’t figure out until recently what I actually wanted to do with them.
one day I realized magnets stick to them (should have been obvious I guess xD), remembered seeing something online about a wine cork corkboard, and thought “aha!” a magnet board out of bottle caps.
looks like I’m going to have to go to that christmas party I was going to skip so I can collect more..

my final project for new media is doneee ;D

concept: stress scarf. as you stretch your arms or fidget in a display of anxiety or stress, the meter on the left side of the scarf lights up according to your level of stress.

I am so happy with thiss… I think I started it on sunday.. next time I should not procrastinate so much D;

designed and constructed by me using a lilypad arduino (a microcontroller)

err.. I realize the video is sideways. it wasn’t til afterwards i found out you couldn’t flip a video really.. let’s call it artsy? ;p

first try at screenprintingg

For my birthday this summer my parents got me the Yudu screenprinter. c; I had a speedball set a while ago but it was really difficult to do anything without an actual lightbox.

I have to say the actual machine is amazingggg. =w= It’s got the lightbox built into the system it’s a nice big size compared to basic screenprinting kits (max screen is 11”x 14”). The only thing I think is silly is the Yudu-brand supplies; don’t buy their refills!!! Other than the screens, the other supplies (paint, photo emulsion supplies, etc) can be purchased farrrr cheaper from other brands. :]

Here are some photos of my first try at printing. Three colors with slightly shifted registration marks (on purpose, I was going for a 3d look. Did it work? :D). Lyrics are from a Flight of the Conchords song.

sorry it’s a repost.. I wanted to change it from a note to a photo post :o
