Along with the screen printing tutorial, I’ve been working on more bone hair bows today. :]] I wasn’t completely satisfied with the stamped hair bows I made previously so I switched to screenprinting them. :o

The stamped bone bows are now on sale for $5 instead of $6 in my etsy shop because I will be selling the newer, screenprinted ones soon~

On another note, my goal is to go to bed an hour earlier every day until I’m back on schedule.. but maybe that will start tomorrow, haha..

I carved a bone stamp last night while rewatching dirty dancing and made some hair clips with it today. c; It was also a chance to use the studs my parents got me for christmas~~

My hair is so pink right now. D: Hopefully it fades soon so that I can turn it lavender..

I hope everyone is having a happy Christmas (or holiday) so far! I actually don’t get to see most of my family until tomorrow, so I can’t wait until then. :]]

Here are the Christmas Eve gifts I received today.. STUDS!! My parents got me a few bags of studs, the tall heavy-duty, screw-back kind you can’t buy in stores around here. I had to try them out right away so I studded one of the only headbands I have at home. I think I got it for $0.50 at Target a few years ago?

Ideally I’d stud a black headband that blends in with my hair better, but this works more than well enough for now. c; Next in line are my backpack, my shoes, my leather jacket.. I’m going to have a lot of fun.

My aunt got me the Urban Decay pallate, even though I wasn’t able to come back home and see her last time I visited. :o The colors are gorgeous.. I’ve never really owned a nice makeup palette before, it makes me feel like such an adult, haha. ;p

I’m also currently working on a rhinestone bone headpiece. c; I’ve been wanting to do this for a couple weeks now, but couldn’t make time for it until I snuck it into a class project. :p

The project is to apply and shoot fantasy makeup on someone (my roommate, yay). I chose to do calavera makeup and am going to use this bone in her hair. :D

The bone is made of foil, model magic and paint. Almost 200 rhinestones later and I haven’t even covered the whole thing.. I couldn’t wait to take a photo so the glue is still white and not clear~

In case you were wondering why you haven’t received a package from me yet Melissa it’s because I keep having things I want to add to it… sorry haha..

I tried using balsa wood for the bat this time instead of paper (tutorial for the paper glitter bat here :D ). The paper actually turned out nicer I think~

The bat fabric is halloween fabric from Joann Fabrics that I couldn’t resist getting my last trip.

Also sorry this isn’t going to be a surprise for you Melissa… I get too excited to upload things, but also I wanted to prove I haven’t forgotten about you. ;p

I spent 6 hours in the costume shop today (a saturday) making a headband and necklace for an actress in the upcoming Cabaret musical at our theatre. I think I’m happy with how it turned out.. but it looks better on a person than it does on that creepy head mannequin. :p

Actually I took the class for fun, since I don’t technically need the hours.. but normally class is during the week but today was a special case.

Also, tomorrow I’m going to the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago. :D Melissa and I didn’t get accepted for a booth this year, but next year we definitely will, haha.. Is anyone else going to visit tomorrow??

I can’t decide if this is an okay hairstyle or not. D: The other day Eva did my hair in a beautiful french braid wrap with the flower band woven through it.. after many attempts this was as close as I could get (not very close). I’ll upload Eva’s later with another post :]
