Working on new items for Lunar Descent ~ ~
Last month, my friend and fellow New Media classmate Becca asked if I wanted to collaborate on a fashion video featuring Lunar Descent. I’ve been admiring her videos and watching them evolve over the past couple of years and was excited to work with her. :]
All I did was make the clothing and give a little bit of styling direction, and Becca did the rest. She had clear ideas and was great at directing (something I’m still trying to learn!) our lovely model, Tara. It was awesome working with both of you guys, thanks so much! I couldn’t have asked for a better first video to represent Lunar Descent. ♥
Shooting, directing and editing were all done by Becca Gore. You can view her video portfolio here
Music was provided by Eric Simmons of Goblin Colors
Clothing featured (like the holographic cap) is available at Lunar Descent
And finally, here are a couple of photos I snapped during the shoot using 35mm film~

Here’s a project I just finished last night: an LED moon phase visualizer~~
It works by scraping information from a website regarding the current moon phase using Processing, which in turn sends that info to an Arduino that’s hooked up to the LEDs.
The moon is made up of a total of 62 LEDs in 5 parallel circuits. Design, construction and coding were all done by me. :]
I’m thinking about putting up a tutorial on how to make your own once summertime comes (hopefully a simpler version that doesn’t require an Arduino) . Would anyone be interested if I made one?
I finally decorated a case for my new phone! The silver glittery case was from this store on ebay, and I covered it in rhinestones and fabric I had lying around. c;
If you’re interested in decorating your own case, here are some good adhesives you can try:
If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message, I’ll do my best to help! :]
Here’s something I’ve been working on for a couple of weeks…
A handmade ghost plush that responds to light and sound, powered by Arduino, a programmable microcontroller. It “shivers” (vibrates) and lights up in response to varying levels of noise, and “screams” (sounds a tone) and lights up when it gets dark~
Design, sewing and circuitry done by me. :]
So, these past few weeks I’ve been secretly busy on a new project… trying to perfect these holographic baseball caps. :D
Making baseball caps turned out to be as challenging as I expected, haha. I’ve broken a ton of needles so far, and have done a bunch of tests to try and figure out the perfect materials and hat shape. But it was worth it. I’m so happy with how the final one turned out!~

I’ll be taking photos of the hats tomorrow, and they’ll hopefully be up for sale in my clothing store, Lunar Descent, soon after that. :]

And don’t forget, there are only a couple of days left before the Lunar Descent Instagram Giveaway ends (more details here) and the winner is chosen!
I’ve been so genuinely happy working on Lunar Descent since it officially launched at the beginning of the year. Thanks everyone for your support and friendship online~ ♥
