After searching around I’ve found that a lot of people do it afterward in programs like photoshop.
I searched for things like “faded photo” tutorials and had no luck until today when I searched “post process photo” on deviantart.com and found this wonderful tutorial by night-fate. After following this tutorial I finally achieved the indie photo look I’ve been searching for. :D This set of photos I took so I could have something to test photo editing on.
