Alright. SO I don't know how to sew and I am short on funds but I want to create a really good cosplay Punk Lolita outfit... Any tips on how to make it with things I already own?
when I first started lolita I tried going a cheaper route as well. a lot of it is beaing resourceful and finding cheap clothing that you can easily alter to your liking. :]
with a little sewing: for skirts I got large, flowy skirts from thrift stores and gathered/shortened them to my liking. stick a petticoat under that and you’re good to go. :D
with little/no sewing (can use fabric glue): I’m not current on my knowledge of punk lolita, but I remember seeing a lot of trim/embellishments on almost normal items. maybe you could add black lace, tulle, pins and plaid decorations to things like skirts and hoodies?
