I’ll probably get this wrong somehow..
but for my own future reference I’d like to write this down.
my friend simplified the idea and explained it to me. and I will probably butcher it. ;p
scientists encoded (is that the right word?) a mathematical problem into dna, let the dna solve it, and read the answer from it. the actual information/study can be found here
I am really in love with the concept of using something so biologically natural as dna to solve something that seems unnatural and calculated. though I guess math in a way is really natural and a part of everything.. something to think about later.

Humans are a part of nature, so nothing we create is actually ‘unnatural.’ Also I think mathematicians would tell you that math isn’t unnatural at all.
