before I acquired my hipster music taste, I was into the oldies and only the oldies.

I really didn’t listen to much music at all until freshman year of highschool. I have no idea how I lived before then.. ._. that year was all beatles. :]

junior year I began listening to the true oldies channel and became an expert (if I do say so myself ;p)  after awhile it became rare for a song to come on that I’d never heard before.

it wasn’t until senior year that I began listening to current music. D: I asked a friend to recommend artists to me and the first one was regina spektor, and it’s been love ever since. one of my favorite things in the world now is to discover and listen to new music c:

I still have a soft spot in my heart for oldies music, and have proof of my lasting proficiency with it. not too long ago I won a game of strip guess-the-song because the station on pandora was set to oldies.
